This wedding truly had it all! A gorgeous bride wearing such a beautiful Olivelli two-piece wedding dress. A dashing, surfer, lawyer groom. The most awesome city wedding venue that is Katy's Palace Bar, complete with its unique eclectic decor, an epic view and perfect party venue vibe. But this wasn't just a day of beautiful people and glamorous venues, it was also a day about family. Kim's whole family (cousins and all) came to help her get ready. The house was full of tulle and sneaker wearing flower girls, siblings, parents, cousins and friends. Kim was the calm centre of this happy storm.

Kim & Zach chose to get married and have their reception at Katy's Palace Bar. The ceremony was held in St James Van Der Merwe Bar with Kim and Zach's parents and grandparents black and white wedding photographs as a backdrop. Then on to the reception with real live trees in every corner, bright pink roses and a piano covered in amazing food. The speeches were honest and clever, not to mention very funny, it takes great skill to hold a camera still while laughing out loud. When the sun set over Joburg the party really got going and everyone from the youngest to the eldest hit the dance floor.

I know I sound like a broken record because I seem to love every wedding. But I really loved Kim and Zach's day. Maybe it's because I have known Kimmy since she was tiny, maybe it's because I love her family and how they are loud, mad and so involved in each other's lives. Or maybe it's just because being part of any wedding day is a privilege and we love capturing the day so it can be relived over and over again.
